“The Urine Amino Acids Test (UAA) gives you information about amino acids, the building blocks for the proteins in your body. Essential amino acids are those which must be in your diet.
UAA testing gives you a sense of the overall nutrient absorption from your gastrointestinal tract (GI tract), as well as shows you how well you are doing with the compounds in your methylation cycle. It measures homocysteine, an important indicator of cardiac health and pro inflammatory status in your body, and a component of the methylation cycle.

Frequently Asked Questions About CBS/NOS Capsules
When should I take the CBS/NOS capsules vs the Nucleotide Blends?
When ammonia is high and creatinine is in mid to high range, Dr. Amy recommends beginning with the CBS/NOS capsule. Dr. Amy prefers to rule out gut bugs as a cause of high taurine levels first before considering the CBS Nucleotide Blend. In regards to the NOS Nucleotide Blend, that is mutation specific. As always, consult with your health care professional.
How can I address my high taurine levels while I'm waiting to use the CBS Nucleotide Blend?
Molybdenum, B12, TNF Support Nucleotide Blend, Glutathione, and rule out gut imbalances. As always, consult with your health care professional.
I am CBS+ why do I NOT have high taurine levels?
Until you support The Methylation Cycle, you often will not see the impact of a CBS SNP. Dr. Amy uses the analogy in her lectures of a leaky bathtub, you cannot tell a bathtub is leaking until you first fill it with water.
About Dr. Amy Yasko
Dr. Amy has a PhD in Microbiology/Immunology/Infectious Disease from Albany Medical College, along with multiple postdoctoral fellowships including Yale Medical center, Wilmont cancer center URMC, and Pediatric Infectious Disease at URMC.
She has served as a member of the scientific advisory board for NFAM (National Foundation of Alternative Medicine) and the Documenting Hope Project for chronic illness. Dr. Amy worked in biotechnology for 15 years, codeveloping the first low cost DNA synthesizer and co owned a DNA technology company as an inventor on multiple patents involving DNA and RNA technology.
Dr. Amy then shifted her focus to using more natural approaches to address complex molecular health issues by additional training and degrees in natural health including a Doctor of Natural Health, a board certified Alternative Medical Practitioner, a board certified Holistic Health Practitioner, and is a Fellow of the American Association of Integrative Medicine.
